Accepted into the Whistler Fiber Fusion exhibit “Crossing to Safety” The exhibit runs from August 24-October 26., and was juried by Wen Redmond and Janice Jones.
Crossing to Safety” 31”h x 19”w. Surface design techniques of stamping, dry brushing, scraping and paint sticks were used to express the chaos and fear of refugees searching for safety. The machine quilting and hand stitching add the crossed lines that happen when traveling in dangerous circumstances.
