If you're a member of the SAQA MA/RI region let us profile you on our blog. These profiles are a great way to learn more about
each other and all you have to do to participate is answer a few
questions. It doesn't matter where you are on your artistic journey, if
you're a beginner or professional, if you're a new member or a 10 year
member we want to profile you. Take a few minutes
to look over the questions below, pick 6 of them to answer and then send
them and a few photos.
You don't have to answer every question (unless you want to!), just pick your favorite 6.
1: When did you start making art quilts?
2: What type of work do you do - abstract/realist/representational...? What styles or techniques do you use?
3: How did you learn the techniques you use? (Did you study with a mentor, self-taught, etc?)
4: Do you have a favorite color palette?
5: Are you working on a particular theme or series now? Tell us more about it.
6: How do you work? Give us some insight into your design process?
7: Do you work on a single project at a time or do you work on multiple pieces at once?
8: What are your sources of inspiration?
9: What is your studio like and when do you like to work?
10: What are your goals or aspirations for your art?
11: How are you making the most of your SAQA membership? Which aspects of the organization are you enjoying?
12:
Do you design your art with a purpose in mind (function of the piece,
for a particular call for entry, a commission)? Tell us about that…
Make sure you also include the following:

Please
also include a few photos to be shared on the blog. We'd like 1-3 of
