Jo Carubia will be submitting a quilted tapestry "Frame of Mind" for the upcoming Members Show at the Jamestown Arts Center in Jamestown, RI. Most of her work incorporates free motion calligraphy of words on a relevant theme or of favorite quotations. This piece incorporates the following: "She sang beyond the genius of the sea" (From "Idea of Order at Key West" by Wallace Stevens) and "The imperfect is our paradise" (From "The Poems of Our Climate" by Wallace Stevens).
She looks forward to meeting other Jamestown Art Center members who may work in fiber/textile arts.
Opening reception: November 8, 6-8 pm
Exhibit dates: November 8-December 6
